Der M-DAB-100 DAB+ Tuner

Der M-DAB-100 DAB+ Tuner ist konzipiert für den externen Anschluss an einer ReVox M100 Stereoanlage. Er kann auch an einem ReVox M51 Mk1 oder Mk2 angeschlossen werden. Der Tuner wurde durch ausgeklügelte Filtertechnik soweit wie möglich robust gegen jegliche Art von Störwellen gebaut. Das Gehäuse des Tuners ist vollständig aus Aluminium und schirmt so die Elektronik zusätzlich vor störenden Funkwellen ab, damit Sie immer optimalen Radiogenuss erleben.

Der Tuner wird mit dem mitgelieferten Chinch Kabel an einem freien analogen AUX Eingang angeschlossen. Ab Werk ist er für den AUX1 eingestellt, er kann aber auch durch konfiguration verändert und am AUX2 angeschlossen werden.

Der M-DAB-100 wird zusätzlich mit dem mitgelieferten M-LINK Kabel an einer der beiden M-LINK Buchsen an der ReVox M100 Stereoanlage angeschlossen, damit der Tuner mit der Stereoanlage kommunizieren kann. Die Stromversorgung erfolgt ebenfalls über den M-LINK Bus. Ein Netzteil kann eingesetzt werden, wenn sehr viele externe Module an Ihrer Stereoanlage den M-LINK Bus zu stark belasten. Das Netzteil wird im Normalfall aber nicht benötigt und ist daher nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten.

Sobald der Tuner angeschlossen ist, übernimmt dieser den gewünschten AUX Eingang, benennt diesen um zu "DAB+" und lässt sich dann genau gleich bedienen, wie Sie es vom eingebauten FM Tuner her kennen.

The M-DAB-100 DAB+ Tuner

The M-DAB-100 DAB+ tuner is designed for external connection to a ReVox M100 stereo system. It can also be connected to a ReVox M51 Mk1 or Mk2. The tuner has been built to be as robust as possible against any kind of interference waves by using sophisticated filter technology. The housing of the tuner is completely made of aluminium and thus additionally shields the electronics from interfering radio waves, so that you always experience optimal radio enjoyment.

The tuner is connected to a free analogue AUX input with the supplied chinch cable. It is factory-set for AUX1, but it can also be changed by configuration and connected to AUX2.

The M-DAB-100 is also connected to one of the two M-LINK sockets on the ReVox M100 stereo system using the M-LINK cable supplied, so that the tuner can communicate with the stereo system. Power is also supplied via the M-LINK bus. A power supply unit can be used if a large number of external modules on your stereo system place too a heavy load on the M-LINK bus. However, the power supply unit is normally not required and is therefore not included in the delivery.

As soon as the tuner is connected, it takes over the desired AUX input, renames it to "DAB+" and can then be operated in exactly the same way as you know it from the built-in FM tuner.

Der M-DAB-100 unterstützt die Multiroomfähigkeit des M100 und kann auch dessen integrierte Uhr mit dem hochpräzisen DAB Zeitsignal abgleichen. Die Wandfernbedienung und das Wanddisplay in den Nebenräumen einer Multiroom Installation werden vollwertig unterstützt. Die snchronisation der gespeicherten Sender mit der M208 Fernsteuerung wird ebenfalls unterstützt.

DAB+Cable (UPC Netz) ist mit dem angebotenen Adapter von SUMATRONIC AG möglich.

Softwareupdates können von Fortgeschrittenen Usern mit dem original ReVox M-Prog oder von Experten mit handelsüblichen Atmel ISP 6Pin Programmern aufgespielt werden.

Der Tuner wird zum Teil maschinell bestückt und zu einem Teil manuell in der Schweiz aufgebaut, programmiert und getestet. Mechanische Teile werden in der EU gebaut. Jeder Tuner wird vor der Auslieferung manuell auf korrekte Funktion an einer M100 getestet.

The M-DAB-100 supports the multi-room capability of the M100 and can also synchronise its integrated clock with the high-precision DAB time signal. The wall remote control and the wall display in the side rooms of a multi-room installation are fully supported. The snchronisation of the stored stations with the M208 remote control is also supported.

DAB+Cable (UPC network) is possible with the offered adapter from SUMATRONIC AG.

Software updates can be installed by advanced users with the original ReVox M-Prog or by experts with commercially available Atmel ISP 6Pin programmers.

The tuner is partly assembled by machine and partly manually built, programmed and tested in Switzerland. Mechanical parts are built in the EU. Each tuner is manually tested for correct function on an M100 System before delivery.

Einsatz zweier M-DAB-100 an einer M100

Grundsätzlich können an der M100 auch 2 Stück M-DAB-100 parallel betrieben werden.Es müssen folgende Punkte in dieser Reihenfolge beachtet werden:

  1. Installation Tuner 1
    1. Installieren Sie zuerst den ersten M-DAB-100 DAB+ Tuner an der M100
    2. Konfigurieren Sie diesen Tuner vollständig.
    3. Ändern Sie nun unbedingt den automatisch vergebenen Slot für diesen Tuner 1.
      1. Default ist Slot 1, der muss nun frei gemacht werden für den Tuner 2. Setzen Sie den Tuner 1 auf Slot 2
      2. Speichern Sie diese Einstellungen
    4. Programmieren Sie nun diesen ersten Tuner und ändern wenn gewünscht die Senderreihenfolge
    5. Speichern Sie auch diese Einstellungen
  2. Installation Tuner 2
    1. Installieren Sie nun den zweiten M-DAB-100 DAB+ Tuner an der M100
    2. Konfigurieren Sie diesen Tuner vollständig.
    3. Belassen Sie den automatisch vergebenen Slot 1 für diesen Tuner.
    4. Programmieren Sie nun diesen zweiten Tuner und ändern wenn gewünscht die Senderreihenfolge
    5. Speichern Sie auch diese Einstellungen
  3. Konfigurieren Sie die Remote Settings
    1. In jeder Zone kann nur ein Tuner als Haupttuner auf der Taste "Tuner" aktiviert werden. Dieser Haupttuner gilt dann auch für die Timer Verwendung.
    2. Der jeweils andere Tuner kann zum Beispiel auf die Taste "AUX/Server" gelegt werden.

     

Use two M-DAB-100 on one M100

2 pieces of M-DAB-100 can also operating in parallel on the M100.The following points must be observed in this order:

  1. Installation Tuner 1

  3. Configure the Remote Settings
    1. In each zone only one tuner can be activated as main tuner on the "Tuner" button. This main tuner is then also valid for the timer usage.
    2. The other tuner can be assigned to the "AUX/Server" button, for example.

 

 

Remote Settings

In den Remote Settings der M100 oder des M51 Mk2 können für jede Zone definiert werden, an welches Gerät die eintreffenden Kommandos gehen. (Der M51 Mk1 kann dies zwar auch, aber nur global, und nicht pro Zone).
In diesen Settings wird also festgelegt, dass zum Beispiel in der Zone 1 der Knopf "Tuner" (Wand- oder IR Fernbedienung) den DAB+ Tuner in Slot 1 einschaltet. Und wenn diese Audioquelle aktiv ist, dass ">" oder "<" die Sender am DAB+ Tuner in Slot 1 weiter schaltet. In einer anderen Zone, zum Beispiel Zone 2, kann dies identisch oder eben auch an einen zweiten Tuner DAB+ Tuner in Slot 2 programmiert werden. Dieses Setting muss grundsätzlich immer mindestens im Hauptraum gemacht werden, damit die IR Fernsteuerung aber auch der Timer funktioniert.

Auf diese Art können auch mehrere DAB+ Tuner vorhanden sein und in jeder Zone kann ein anderer Tuner als Haupt Tuner auf der Taste "Tuner" programmiert sein.
Auf der Taste "AUX/Server" kann dann jeweils noch der andere Tuner als Zweitoption gesetzt werden.

So kann das dann zum Beispiel aussehen wenn 2 DAB+ Tuner betrieben werden:

Zone 1:

  • Remote button "Tuner" is selecting "DAB+" in Slot 1.
  • Remote button "AUX/Server" is selecting "DAB+" in Slot 2.

Zone 2:

  • Remote button "Tuner" is selecting "DAB+" in Slot 2.
  • Remote button "AUX/Server" is selecting "DAB+" in Slot 1.

 

Remote Settings

In the Remote Settings of the M100 or the M51 Mk2 you can define for each zone to which device the incoming commands go. (The M51 Mk1 can also do this, but only globally and not per zone).
So in these settings it is defined that for example in zone 1 the button "Tuner" (wall or IR remote control) switches on the DAB+ tuner in slot 1. And if this audio source is active, that ">" or "<" will advance the stations on the DAB+ tuner in slot 1. In another zone, for example zone 2, this can be programmed identically or even to a second tuner DAB+ tuner in slot 2. This setting must always be made at least in the main room, so that the IR remote control but also the timer works.

In this way, several DAB+ tuners can be present and in each zone another tuner can be programmed as the main tuner on the "Tuner" button.
The other tuner can then be set as a secondary option on the "AUX/Server" button.

So this can then look for example if 2 DAB+ tuners are operated:

Zone 1:

  • Remote button "Tuner" is selecting "DAB+" in Slot 1.
  • Remote button "AUX/Server" is selecting "DAB+" in Slot 2.

Zone 2:

  • Remote button "Tuner" is selecting "DAB+" in Slot 2.
  • Remote button "AUX/Server" is selecting "DAB+" in Slot 1.

 

 

 

Spezialversion Sparemodul

Der M-DAB-100 ist ein separates Modul in einem Aluminiumgehäuse. Wenn Sie jedoch an Ihrer M100 ein Sparemodul (leeres Modul um optische Lücken zu füllen) einsetzen, dann ist es auch möglich, eine Spezialversion des M-DAB-100 zu bestellen. Diese kommt ohne Aluminiumgehäuse, dafür mit einem Befestigungssatz zum sicheren Verschrauben der Platine im leeren Sparemodul. Ebenfalls ist eine Aluminium Abdeckplatte dabei, um das Sparemodul gegen hinten abzuschliessen und die Buchsen durchzuführen.

Sie benötigen zur Montage etwas handwerkliches Geschick. Im Sparemodul muss 1 Loch (3mm) in die innere horizontale Metallplatte gebohrt werden, damit die Platine befestigt werden kann. Das Loch ist nicht sichtbar von aussen, es ist nur die innere Platte.

Diese Spezialversion ist ab sofort erhältlich. Bitte bestellen Sie diese beim Händler Ihres Vertrauens unter dem Namen "M-DAB-100 Spare". Dieser komplette Einbausatz ist noch nicht ab Lager erhältlich sondern er wird jeweils einzeln auf Bestellung gebaut. Bestellen Sie daher frühzeitig, die Lieferfrist ist daher etwas länger. Der Einbausatz enthält alles, was sie zum erfolgreichen Bau benötigen: M-DAB-100, Schrauben, Distanzstangen, Rückplatte, Chinch Kabel, M-Link Kabel, Bedienungsanleitung. Eine Antenne ist wie beim normalen M-DAB-100 nicht enthalten. Es muss nichts gelötet werden, alles ist bereits vorgefertigt.

Special version spare modul

The M-DAB-100 is a separate module in an aluminium housing. However, if you use a spare module (empty module to fill optical gaps) on your M100, it is also possible to order a special version of the M-DAB-100. This comes without an aluminium housing, but with a fixing kit for securely screwing the circuit board into the empty spare module. An aluminium cover plate is also included to close the spare module from the rear and to pass through the sockets.

You will need some manual dexterity for the assembly. In the spare module, 1 hole (3mm) must be drilled in the inner horizontal metal plate so that the board can be attached. The hole is not visible from the outside, it is only the inner plate.

 

This special version is available now. Please order it at your local dealer under the name "M-DAB-100 Spare". This complete installation kit is not yet available from stock but it is built individually when you order it. So order early, the delivery time is a bit longer. The kit contains everything you need for a successful build: M-DAB-100, screws, spacer rods, back plate, chinch cable, M-Link cable, operating manual. An antenna is not included as with the normal M-DAB-100. Nothing needs to be soldered, everything is already prefabricated.

Die M-DAB-100 Platine wird so drauf gelegt, dass sie hinten (rechts im Bild) aussen bündig aufliegt.
Am besten, Sie stellen den Zwischenboden gegen einen rechtwinklig stehenden Gegenstand und richten die Platine aus.
Das Loch möglichst genau einzeichnen und mit einem 3mm Bohrer bohren.
